My Story

I have always loved sports—name it, and I’ve probably tried it. The way the human body performs in incredible circumstances has always fascinated me. When the first Indian Premier League cricket tournament launched in 2008, I was just 11 years old. I knew then that I wanted to be part of that world—not as a player, but as part of the support staff, helping athletes reach their peak performance.

Throughout my own sporting journey, I’ve faced my fair share of injuries. While many medical professionals helped me recover, I often found that treatments focused only on symptoms rather than the root cause. This sparked my curiosity about how and why injuries happen and how they can be prevented. My passion for both sport and helping people led me to discover my purpose: physiotherapy.

From the moment I attended my first biomechanics lecture, I knew this was more than just a career—it was my calling. I earned my Bachelor’s in Physiotherapy from the University of Pretoria, and my passion for sports physiotherapy deepened when I had the opportunity to travel as a physio with the Tuks Women’s 7s Rugby team. That experience opened my eyes to the vast world of sports physiotherapy, and I quickly realized that the only thing more intimidating than what you don’t know is knowing just how much more there is to learn. From that moment on, I committed to continuous education and growth.

To expand my expertise, I pursued a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy and completed various courses in different sporting fields. I became a traveling sports physiotherapist, working with athletes across multiple disciplines, from team sports to endurance events like mountain biking and running. Currently, I am part of the Sunshine Tour Physiotherapy team and continue to travel with teams and events whenever the opportunity arises.

As part of my professional growth, I also became a BASI Pilates instructor and teach classes at Planet Fitness gyms. I firmly believe that the body is not a mystery—it just needs to be understood. Once you do, it will amaze you!
