Renier Cilliers is one of the Directors and Physiotherapist of Well Health Pro. He is the architect that puts ideas in motion, bringing together the best experts in the medical industry. Renier’s energetic spirit, with a good dose of intelligence, but he’s always on an adventure – putting into action his new crazy ideas. He lives in the moment and dives into the action, he’s usually the eye of the storm. He’s competitive and challenges your thinking. Renier is full of passion and energy, complemented by a rational, if sometimes distracted, mind. Inspiring, convincing and colorful, he is a natural leader, pulling everyone along the path less traveled, bringing life and excitement everywhere he goes.
Physiotherapist – Renier Cilliers
Renier is spontaneous, fun-loving, action-oriented and hands-on. He loves tackling problems as they arise and telling great stories about his solutions afterwards. Emotional sensitivity is not his strong suit. He sets small, clear, measurable, and attainable goals that keep things on track. He keeps his eyes on the finish line, but he knows we get there step by step.
He is straightforward to the point of being blunt, but a truly honest opinion.
“Exploration, excitement, adrenaline and risk”
He finds joy in constantly pushing the boundaries, discovering and using new things. Renier is always trying to find ideas that are actionable and drilling into the details so he can put them to use. Renier boldness and practicality helps him to notice when things change – and when they need to change. He can be mistaken for being insensitive, he prefers to communicate clearly, with direct and factual questions and answers, or like he’d say “Things are what they are”. There’s always an opportunity – to fix a problem, and get things done. Renier’ personality type loves to solve problems here and now, perhaps too much.

My Story
I am a ballet dancer that became intrigued by the human body, movement and pathology. I’m a driven leader in the field of physiotherapy and a performance driven athlete.
Jaco and I finished our honor degrees at the University of Pretoria, after which we started to build our practice and became determined to bring a new perspective over the process of healing tissue. Ever since I started practicing as a physiotherapist, I grew especially passionate about working with lower back, hip and knee pain and injuries.
Why Physiotherapy?
I decided to obtain skills as a physiotherapist in order to understand the mechanisms and systems at work, when healing the body and have always been intrigued by how the human body regenerates an injury after receiving different kinds of stimuli and forces. Patients who suffer for longer periods of time usually have more complex cases, which I love to inspect in order to clarify the original cause of their problems.
I have always been determined to gain a better understanding to enhance patient’s performance and accelerating their healing process. Because of personal experiences, I completely understand the need to get on with life, without rest. Therefor I help you to continue, while we sort out the problem.
We have worked with prestigious South African professional companies’ dancers, athletes and gymnasts who have previously secured podium positions.
Where experience and work meet
I use various techniques during my patient’s treatment and conditioning. I convey my unique knowledge in order to: alter your pathological processes, retrain your technique and get you back on track asap. By working with Jaco we gained a valuable understanding of the difference between flexibility and strength, related to diverse athletic demands. My future vision relates to raising all South African Physiotherapists (and medical professionals) bar of standards.

Background as a Sport Physiotherapist
Sport physiotherapy is focused on your biomechanical and structural rehabilitation. With targeted goals to maximize your functional movement so that you can return to normal daily activities. This type of therapy is most commonly used to address accidental injuries, sports injuries and resolving physical impairment due to lifestyle and ageing.
The physiotherapist will focus on the body’s main structures of bone, muscle, ligaments and tendons along with the connected systems of the heart, circulation and lungs. Treatment is tailored to the individual based on their initial assessment. Exercise plans and advice are routinely given following the treatment and the number of treatments will vary depending on the patient’s progress in recovery.
Our practices are fully equipped with the newest technologies and treatment rooms to allow our experienced physiotherapists to treat all musculoskeletal conditions. All our patients will be assessed to identify the cause of their condition so that treatments can be targeted, appropriate and effective.
What my clients say about me
With a quick massage and some dry needling he removed the stiffness in my back, which was caused by sitting in the same posture for hours on end in front of a computer screen. After following the tips he gave me I bought a new office chair and got into the habit of seating myself correctly. I haven’t had a problem since.
Leon Swart
Renier quickly helped me get back on my feet (literally) when I fractured my left ankle and tore a tendon in my right foot.
G Strydom
I was scheduled for surgery. I feared going under the knife, then I found these miracle workers!! 3 years later, still no surgery.
O Swanepoel
I couldn’t stand, sit, walk, do anything without screaming from excruciating back pain. I never thought I could feel normal again. Bless those hands.
M Van Der Merwe
Dislocated my shoulder twice, Renier fixed it – much better than it ever was before.
