Pain in the forearm can be divided into two compartments namely the front and back. The front consist of muscles that pulls the wrist and fingers forward, and the back compartment has muscles pulling the fingers and wrist backwards. Pain in the forearm is usually because of an overload or stain of the muscles.
Causes of forearm pain
Repetitive stain from carrying or picking up heavy objects will cause the muscles in the forearm to tighten and stiffen up. This will limit the movement of the wrist and the hand. Nerves can get compressed in the forearm producing pins & needles or numbness that spreads into the fingers. This is merely treated by removing the compression off the nerve and making sure the nerve can slide and glide (like it needs to).
