Knee Tendinitis is an inflammation or irritation of a patellar tendon. These knee tendon injuries include infra-patella tendinitis & supra-patella tendinitis. Tendons are the extension of the muscle and attaches the muscle to the bone. Overuse & overload on the tendons that run above and below your kneecap gets irritated, inflamed, swollen and painful.
Tendons are the tough fibers that connect muscle to bone. A tendon injury may seem to happen suddenly, but usually, it is the result of repetitive tendon overloading. Tendinitis means "inflammation of the tendon".
